Expressionism and the yellow cow


During the second term grade 7 will be looking at the Expressionism art moviment and at Franz Marc in particular.

Term 2 Expressionism.

Criterion C Reflection and Evaluation

You will study the art movement Expressionism and use painting techniques learned to make an expressionist painting showing a rain forest animal in the style of Franz Marc.

You must

Reflecting upon evaluating, assessing and appraising work to support and promote creative development.

1-2 Poor

Your use of feedback and reflections upon themes and processes is minimal. You have completed a rudimentary evaluation of your level of skill. Your artwork is unfinished.

3-4 OK

You have found it difficult to take feedback and advice into account when working. You provide an evaluation of your development as well as evaluating the theme. Some aspects of your evaluation may be unrealistic or incomplete. Your artwork is finished.

5-6 Good

You reflect on your work and take feedback and advice into account. You provide an evaluation of your development and your work. The evaluation includes identification of where further improvement can be made. You have used feedback to improve the quality of your artwork.

7 Great

You give a thoughtful response to feedback and advice. The development of good practice is considered and evaluated. The evaluation of the quality of the work produced is accurate and includes details of how further improvements could be made. Feedback and reflection have been evident in the completion of your artwork.
